Is it true that Arts and Humanities people rate less?

a rating system. In the Arts, beauty is in the eye of the beholder,
you know that. Many of the questions here fall into the rank of
average and mundane. The Arts and Humanities aspire to the higher
realms of visual beauty and standards, why should A&H want to
discourage the ascent of the normal person to higher climes by giving
thumbs down? It's all a learning experience for each individual. We
all are at different levels in our exploration of universal truths and
their implementation in our lives. <br>

Good Combination of Science and the Humanities?
answers1: I am a high school teacher who majored in English Education
and I now teach humanities and biology in addition to English. Have
you considered teaching? Of course, those who enjoy the material but
don't much like teaching never make the best educators, but if it's
something you like, I'd consider it. Outside of that and science
writing, I'm not sure how best to combine your interests. I find
Earth Science to be an excellent combination of science and humanities
because there is so much history (and anthropology and some biology
and a lot of other -ologies) involved in that stuff, if you get really
into it. That being said, I'm not sure what you would do with a
degree in that area. You could work in the field, but there would
likely be a considerable amount of lab work. If you don't want to
write or be a lab person, I'm not sure what you could do with your
interests except teach. I wish you luck!

Do art colleges accept manga style art?
answers1: make it of art you thought of yourself. If you just do fan
art, it's going to appear that you lack imagination and don't have a
selective eye. Pick about 12-15 works that you think are your absolute
best, that you can see yourself hanging on a wall and/or showing to an
employer, because what a portfolio review is essentially IS a
portfolio interview. But make sure it's your absolute best work. Get
them professionally matted with white matts, museum cut ( bottom
weighted, meaning there is more mat on the bottom than the top or
sides). Make sure they are extremely clean looking. Invet in a good
hardshell portfolio. It's good but not required to have an artists'
statement and inventory list included in your portfolio as well. A
printed, matted portfolio is a MUST. Employers and schools often
evaluate every choice you make, including craftmanship of the mat
itself, as well as paper choice of your works. I had professors during
my graduate portfolio review open the mats to see how I had a work
attached to the backing (photo squares). As well as printed, DVD
portfolios are also common. Make sure the disc has a well designed
label! Also there are many ways to shw your work on disc. You can make
a simple Flash based gallery using Adobe Acrobat CS4 that you can burn
to a disc. If you have an automatically-moving slideshow, have the
slides sit for about eight seconds or so before moving on. That gives
the viewer a good chance to view your work. A resumé they can access
and read is also a must. Make the presentation as good as the work. A
print portfolio, whether they require it or not, is almost always
required by interviewing firms. Don't scrimp on it!

where can i buy art stuff for a cheap price?

supplies. But there are a ton other out there depending on where you
live. I recommend searching online for local art stores near you. It
doesn't need to be a large-scale company either. They still provide

The Arts is an activity, a creation, a method of expression. This is
how we communicate our artistic or imaginative side. This is not just
the visual arts like Mosaics or Paintings, this includes performing
arts like music (the art of dancing), theater (live performers).

How important are the arts to you and your life? <br>
I am a self taught Mosaic Artist and I have a huge passion for this
art medium. <br>
It is very important in my life, as I love the challenge of using old
recycled objects and creating beautiful treasures of Mosaic Art. This
particular type is called "pique assiette mosaic". It is a style of
mosaic that incorporates pieces of broken ceramics, including plates,
dishes, cups, tiles and any other found objects. <br>
<br>
Do you feel the arts (music, acting, Mosaic) have changed your life.

Is there any art college suitable for students who want to study Visual Effects?

Visual Arts program at LACHSA?
answers1: The LACHSA visual arts program is good, but many local
public and private schools have comparable or better programs. Arts
High (their cool name) focuses on the art, not the academics (they
make this very clear), the good test scores are because they have some
good students (especially in music) who spend many hours doing outside
tutoring. The problem with the lack of focus on academics is that some
students end up leaving when they figure out that they're behind where
they'd like to be academically for college admissions. So it depends
on what your options are as far as other schools. <br>

Define the term "acting ugly" please?

being a b****. People act rude for various reasons. They're in a bad
situation, had a bad day so they're more vulnerable. Or it could just
be someone's personality.

Poetry vs Religion: Which is better?
answers1: Which is better? honestly I would say poetry but why? Why
can't it be religion? too many pros and cons to differentiate the two
they are both SO HUGE.....I just say poetry cause I have a love for
poetry and I've never heard of any wars that were started by
poetry...I have for religion. But either way they inspire each
other. so why can't they even be the same? poetry...it could be
religion or at very least religious? But...for me, me in particular,
it will always just be poetry. poetry trumps. :D

whats my philosophy on life?
answers1: it sucks! everyone's existence is just a random event....
life is a messed up thing to happen . God creates everyone and we do
not even know what is the reason for our existence. After all things
would be a lot easier if there was no life.

that "Life is Beautiful" and I really believe that! Some say," your as
happy as you let yourself be". That's another one that I believe too!

meditation,no one else can reveal you your 'own' philosophy.

your philosophy would be to just live every second. People who are
optimistic think that a glass is always half full (vice versa for
pessimists). Cliches are little things that you live by but your
philosophy is the overall message. Try to think about how you delt
with things in life and you'll think of something. It doesnt have to
be a famous saying. Personally I like the saying "Live as if you were
to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever." - Ghandi. Look
up sayings about life too

Why there is no truth in Philosophy?
answers1: I think it is a valuable truth when people discover that
what they thought and took for granted should be reconsidered and that
maybe they don't know a thing after all. Maybe none of us does. I
think that is valuable.

constant state of change, and so is the "truth".

that can be proven. When it comes to solving a problem many people can
get the answer right without being able to prove that they are right.

constant state of change, and so is the "truth".

get the answer right without being able to prove that they are right.

Choosing between a major in Developmental Studies or Philosophy?
answers1: i would chose developmental studies
answers2: Philosophy is much more difficult than that of Development
studies. So D.S. carries more GPA than Philosophy. D. Studies will be
very good choice as it has many job opportunities. If you want to

is seeing the big picture and knowing how the world and it's people
really work. Any career, especially management, can benefit from a
philosophy degree.
answers4: I have a friend who is an accountant and when he asked for a
job, they did require to know his grades in College. Since he almost
flunked out several times, he indeed did not get the job. In other
cases, my sisters best friend majored in Fashion and where she works
now (Neiman Marcus) they did not even ask for her grades or diploma.
My point is, in some cases you will need to show your grades and in
others just your diploma. <br>

My advice is to get the best grades as possible, studying what you
like. If you study what you like it will be much easier for you
because it will be interesting, and you will like studying it. If you
study something you don't like, you will hate it and you will regret
it fot the rest of your life. <br>
