Step by step procedure to get a business permit in the philippines?

Jackelyn Archut: Business Permits and Licensing Office of your City or municipality will be the best place to inquire as procedure differs from place to place. Definitely a Barangay Clearance is needed for new business.

Alexis Reyer: 1. DTI - register your business name (requirements are valid IDs and photos) 2. Barangay - (reqts: DTI cert, lease contract, cedula, etc.) 3. Municipal Office - for your mayor's permit (reqts: bgy clearance, DTI cert, lease contract, cedula, fire safety/ sanitation clearances, etc)4. BIR regional Office - for your Company/business TIN and permits to print ORs (reqts: mayor's permit, DTI cert, valid IDs, etc)if it's a small business, steps 1 and 2, i'd say initially, would suffice...kasi once you proceed to steps 3 and 4, there's no turning back (or cancel everything else, na grabeng trabaho). You have to pay at least around 30 thou PhP per annum (depends on ur business loc) just for city taxes and revenue returns, regardless of how well! (or bad) your business has performed, and it is a serious situation once this financial obligations are not complied with, specially if you'll put up other businesses in the future. It is best to ask people na may first hand experiences on these things, before you embark on anything. Grabe kasi ang mga batas natin, specially on tax collection, napaka unfriendly to entrepreneurs . So just take care and good luck....Show more
