answers4:A ex-Russian girlfriend of mine turned me onto the mystery
books of Boris Akunin (pen name of Grigory Shalvovich Chkhartishvili).
If you love Agatha Christie's and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's books, then
you most likely will like Akunin's books. His books are very well
written, even after they have been translated into English. Wonderful
character development. Great plots. I suggest starting with The
Winter Queen. If you love literature and well-written mysteries,
please treat yourself to his works. I cannot recommend his books
highly enough....Show more
answers5:Um Sherlock Holmes. And a good mystery show is Monk! wonderful:)
answers6:My favorite (FAVORITE FAVORITE FAVORITE) mystery book is
_Birds Of A Feather_, by Jacqueline Winspear. It's truly the most
well written mystery novel I've ever read. However, if you were going
to read BoaF, then I would recommend reading the first book in the
series; _Maisie Dobbs_, which does a splendid job of introducing the
heroine. The mystery in _Maisie Dobbs_ is quite good too-- but not as
good as _Birds of a Feather_. However, if you wind up falling in love
with these two books as I have, I do not recommend the third book in
the series; _Pardonable Lies_. I was NOT a fan. I haven't really had
a chance to read the fourth book; _Messenger of Truth_, yet.As for my
favorite mystery author-- it's a tie between Dick Francis (my favorite
of his is _To The Hilt_) and the aforementioned Jacqueline
Winspear....Show more

a crucial part of the story.
