Education?

Mikel Bethay: Judging by some of the crap that I read on here, the learning of the language of the sheep is not going too well. There has to be some consistency in what is taught at schools, hence the need for a curriculum, at least in the absolute basics. Those that say that basic spelling and mathematics are unimportant will be the first to moan when their unemployment cheque is screwed up by some moron who struggles to read or write....Show more

Blair Abdi: i dont think that is true at all, education exposes you to the thoughts of others, and even ways to think, you should come out of it being able to consider many viewpoints, add your own personal insight, and arrive at conclusions,, besides learning many facts,to say sheep, implies just following along with the herd,,,,,, but unless you get a very limited education,,,, you will see that the herd is very diversified,, and goes down many paths

Isreal Kochheiser: by Education i am referring to the school/coll! ege curriculum

Alecia Kaehler: Some forms of education.

Davina David: Stay away from the sheep you creep. "Baa" means no!

Sheree Hipwell: Possibly.Having looked at the public education system of the United States from three viewpoints--student, parent, and teacher, I would have to concede that too often the quote is true. However, if you can find a way to learn to read, you become responsible and capable of educating yourself.Sadly, we are now into the second generation of lowest common denominator education. The teachers are now products of the system and all too often simply too dumb to secure any other job. In addition, for the most part administrators and education politicos are in the business of power, influence, money, and prestige. There are precious few among them who give two hoots about whether Susie can read, and none care if Johnny can think. I'm sure that will hit a nerve, but it's the unvarnished truth, and the US had better pay attention.! Frankly, I think the entire public education system of the US ! is so f****d up that it can't be fixed...at least not without a revolution. The US will lose its status as the leader of the Free World because the populace is no longer sufficiently educated to maintain the top position....I'm so depressed about this....Show more

Lolita Deschamp: read john henry newmans discourses on education and liberal arts and universities

Marcellus Yoshimori: i odnt liike it i think education is very important
