Home schooled through the state of Indiana..questions?

Jeff Frizzell: I have been home schooling in Indiana since 2001, and have never heard of the Indiana Home School Corp. I even googled it and could find no information. In Indiana the regulations are lenient for home schooling. You have to register with the Indiana dept of education, and you are considered a private school. If all your work is done online it sounds like you are doing virtual public school, which is not really home school, but public school at home. They should be able to give you the information you need....Show more

Maria Bengston: I tried to find Indiana Home Schooling Corp and could not find any information.If you are doing your school through the state, then you are enrolled in a public school and are not in the legal sense homeschooling.If you are enrolled in a "school" be it a private correspondence or online school, or a virtual public school, your best bet is to check with the school as to their graduation requirements....Show more
