Frederic Engellant: I pretty much agree with everything you have said.But because all of the other countries in the world, such as Japan and India, have pushed their children to succeed in education, our country is now having to further education even more to try to reign as "the smartest" in the world.

Pasty Cobbett: I agree with you. My view on college is a little extreme which would offend someone who sees college as a must. I just think college is way overrated.It's not WHO you know. It's WHAT you know.My son after graduating high school started building his own construction business empire. He now makes a 6 figure income with just a high school diploma under his belt. Of course it didn't happen over night, it took years. He a! lso had to take some classes that were mandated by the state in order to get his business on the books, but still, he didn't need college to get where he is at today.Unless you want to become a doctor, lawyer or any of the high profiile careers, college is not needed.Nowadays, they realize that American education is substandard unlike many other countries.
