Lupe Sancen: A garden play house for children,or a garden seat for when the summer comes
Corey Rohleder: Do you have an old Formica countertop (or any surface you'd like to upgrade)? Then you might like to try a Rust-Oleum Countertop Restoration project. Most paint/hardware stores carry the product. I recenly saw a video on how it's done. Sounds good and the finished product seems to resemble granite. I believe there are several colors from which to choose.
James Langmyer: Hi,I have been a DIY person for 60 years starting when I was 7 when my father started teaching me to bricklay and have had the bug ever since. Bought our house when I was 28 and have been renovating it ever since. What you w! ant to do will depend on your adventurousness and skills. You could do what I did and build a "shed" - mine is 7meters by 8.5 meters and has a toilet and shower and kitchenette and verabdah, two rooms 3m by 3m and a little lounge area and will have air-conditioning and when I have finished my days with pottery and carpentry we will easily be able to convert it to a "Granny Flat"Now if that sounds too big you can build a table and chairs for the garden or a chaise lounge or a back verandah which is really not difficult (I have done it - mine was 3,5 meters wide and runs the length of the house and is covererd with perspex sheeting and we have parties in the summer on it.Or you could build a water feature with rock or brickwork - put in a fountain and water proof it and put in fishThere are plenty of ideas around if you think about it- if you had explained your situation we could have been more specific.Do you want to edit your question and tell us more then I will come back a! nd give you some ideas.regards Mike D200112...Show more
