Was there really another chick in the Garden of Eden named Lilith, but she ran away or died or something so?

Derick Kinnard: Lilith was Adam's first wife. She refused to "obey" Adam and was cast out of the Garden. Smart lady. :)

Eulah Hugill: she was there. But she refused to bow to Adam. She didn't do as god asked.Ran off and got busy with some demons and I think is now cursed. She steals or drinks baby blood, i don't remember how it went.

Kenneth Queener: Lilith was Adam's first wife. She felt she should be equal to Adam rather than subservient to him so she was banished from Eden.

Sibyl Siwik: No, Lilith was replaced because she questioned God.

Becky Mosena: When "God" created man and woman, Genesis 1:27, they were as equal and both created from the dust of the ground. This was when Lilith was created as the first woman. She as an equal, refused to be submissive, particularly sexually. Adam had a weak ego (a manufacturer defect) and the relationship failed. Lilith left and cavorted with demons or fallen angels. She was cast aside and as revenge ! she swore to kill the male children which is why some beliefs do not cut the hair of male children for the first couple of years (I am not sure how long) so she cannot tell which children are male and which are female. In Genesis 2:15 "God" placed Adam in the Garden of Eden (which translates to a Oasis in the Desert) and in Genesis 2:21/22, Eve was created out of Adam's rib. She was created as subservient and one could say gullible (a manufacturers defect) as to what she was told. Although this was for the benefit of adam and his manufacturers defect, it also made her susceptible to be gullible with respect to the serpent.Lilith is not to have been said to have been placed in the Gerden, this was reserved for defective merchandise. The irony of it it when the defective attributes produced results which were contrary to desired requirements, they were 'punished' for following their nature as created. This would be acase of entrapment and grounds for recall/repair by todays st! andards but as the story goes, all people are born into "sin" ! due to the manufactorers defect. This is an injustice being as Ezekiel 18:20 states that each is responsible for their own sins, not the father for the son nor the son for the father. In the end, it all depends on how you want to interpert the bible and the parts that were omitted....Show more

Madie Strople: No. Lilith was not originally part of the Hebrew belief so she wasn't mentioned in the Hebrew texts. Her myth came from Sumeria and then later, the rest of Mesopotamia. A Lilitu is a female demon in a form of a prostitute.Lilith's epithet was "the beautiful maiden," She was described as having no milk in her breasts and was unable to bear any children. Babylonian texts depict Lilith as the prostitute of the goddess Ishtar. Similarly, older Sumerian accounts assert that Lilitu is called the handmaiden of Inanna or "hand of Inanna." The Sumerian texts state that "Inanna has sent the beautiful, unmarried, and seductive prostitute Lilitu out into the fields and streets! in order to lead men astray." That is why Lilitu is called the "hand of Inanna."The Lilitu, the Akkadian Ardat-Lili and the Assyrian La-bar-tu like Lilith, were figures of disease and uncleanliness. Ardat is derived from "ardatu," a title of prostitutes and young unmarried women, meaning "maiden."...Show more

Lia Argall: Lilith was Adams first wife. She refused his sexual advances in favor of romance with fallen angels. Sounds like a fun girl, if you're a fallen angel. She gave birth to various evil little angels.
