Mildew smell in laundry?

Freddy Shutler: Probably the washer or the floor under the set. Run it full of hot water, pour un 1 cup of baking soda, let soak for 30 minutes and run out into drain. With dryer all you can do is use dryer towels and fabreeze. You may want to move the set out so you can mop and clean underneath.

Mickey Isle: Oh God this happen to you too?! I had the same problem a few months ago. It's the Laundry Dwarfs. Now you might think I'm lying but it is really hard to spot them. They only come out when no one is around that is why it is so hard to spot them. They travel in packs of around 6-10 and stink up your washer and dryer. They look like the typical garden gnome. First to make sure that the problem is the Laundry Dwarf, you will have to spot them. What I did was camouflaged myself as a tree. I own a ghillie suit which makes me look like one. Once you spot them, the way to get rid of them is take a bit pixie dust for the ones in the washer and for those in the dryer you! r going to need some very rare gypsy tears. These are hard to get but I recommend checking on eBay. Hope this helps!...Show more

Mitchel Demry: Don't let your wet laundry take a seat in the washer too lengthy after its accomplished... It doesn't get excellent ventilation in there if the lid is down, and can begin to smell bizarre after awhile. If this occurs, it should be washed over once more, for the reason that simply drying it is not going to get the odor to leave. Attempt to switch the clothes to the dryer as soon as that you could after its carried out washing. You probably have clothes or items which can be damp that have to go in the abate, reminiscent of while you take off a shirt or socks and they are damp from swea! ting, leave them laying out just a few hours so they can dry e! arlier than putting them within the bog down. For the equal purpose, damp fabric trapped in the abate with other material doesn't get a lot air circulation, and might lead to disagreeable smells. Read the tags on your garments, if they enable bleaching, with the aid of all means, use it. Bleach does a horny darn excellent job at killing little things that intent smells. Usually, whites are the only garments which you could bleach safely with common bleach. Colors should be treated with color-riskless bleach corresponding to Clorox 2, if critical. You additionally could want to check out an additional laundry detergent. The one you might be using may not be excellent adequate. My alternative is to use liquid detergents - in my experience, powders dont invariably dissolve good, and leave annoying white residue within the washer that gets everywhere dark coloured garments. I have been using Arm & Hammer liquid detergent for several years now and am very glad with it. Just righ! t good fortune, i'm hoping this helps....Show more
